Ocean’s Three

Thank you so much for hosting Ocean’s Three on your blog. This was such a different writing experience as I wrote a big portion of this book while on a cruise, which is where most of my story takes place. I’m so excited to continue to explore this soul mate world that I have created and am already plotting my next book in the series.

Get ready to set sail…

BLURB:

Cameron Pompeo has always seen things, felt things, he could not explain, the biggest of which is a young girl named Jocelyn, who appears nightly in his dreams. When his cousin Reed Pompeo suddenly shows up in his dream, Cameron realizes that not only does Jocelyn exist, but she will be important to them both.

After a tragic accident kills her mother, Jocelyn Parker struggles with her guilt. She pushes away the two most important people in her life as a form of self-punishment and tries to convince herself that she made them up, despite the fact that a sense in the very depths of her soul tells her that they’re real.

A cruise to the Mediterranean finally brings the three of them together. There, they make real memories and promises to each other, but what happens when the cruise is over? Will their love be strong enough to survive the outside forces that threaten to destroy their happiness?

Fantasy sexual man

Story Excerpt:

“Are you a virgin?”

“Excuse me?” Jocelyn turned around abruptly. Her eyes widened at Cameron’s grinning face, though her dark shades prevented him from seeing. She still felt the tickle of his breath by her ear where he had just whispered his comment, and her body shivered in response. She glanced down at her vintage Madonna T-shirt from the “Like a Virgin” tour and broke out into hysterical laughter. She fondly remembered their long-running joke about taking T-shirts literally. What a way to break the ice, she thought as Cameron’s eyes crinkled with amusement. Reed stood beside him trying to look pissed at her, but failing miserably. Finally, he gave her that lazy grin she loved so much.

After a few moments, Jocelyn’s laughter subsided. She needed the levity after the turmoil that had been wreaking havoc on her insides. Now she felt that not too unpleasant ache in her ribs, the kind you get after a good hearty laugh. She also felt heat pooling in her lower belly as both Reed and Cam’s gazes and perusal of her body looked almost carnal. She wasn’t wearing anything terribly sexy over her bathing suit. At least she didn’t think so. The T-shirt she wore actually belonged to her mom from her concertgoing days, and was therefore precious to Jocelyn. It hung a little off her shoulder, and in paying homage to the eighties, she tied one side of the shirt in a knot that rested on her hip bone. Completing the ensemble, a pair of khaki shorts, flip-flops, a backpack slung over her shoulder, and of course, the sunglasses to cover up her bloodshot eyes. Thankfully, no one from her wedding party noticed her eyes since she decided to skip having breakfast with them and opted for room service again.

“Why did you run, Joss?”

“You really are real,” she whispered, then found herself at a loss for words. She had already accepted the fact that Cameron and Reed were not figments of her imagination, but she needed to voice it aloud, and seeing them again only helped to reaffirm their existence and made her feel even worse for running out on them last night, not taking their feelings into consideration. They must have been just as shocked seeing her as she was them, even though they had never doubted her existence. “I-I—”

“We weren’t with those girls,” Reed said, looking serious again. “We were just dancing with them. Are they the reason you ran?”

Jocelyn couldn’t help the slight smile curving her lips at Reed’s revelation. Come to think of it, she didn’t see the blond bimbos from last night anywhere. “No. Yes. I don’t know. I guess I just freaked out at seeing you both. I don’t even understand how this is possible.”

“I know,” Cameron said. “We have a lot to talk about.” Then he and Reed both smiled reassuringly, and she saw that they had already forgiven her.

“I’m sorry,” she said, with a shaky smile. “I promise not to run again. Now that I see you, now that I know you actually exist… Well, no matter what happens…” She was struggling with finding the right words again, struggling to tell them that she would accept them any way she could have them, and that this time, if they still wanted her in their lives, she would not disappear on them again.

“Can we go somewhere and talk?” Cameron asked, putting her out of her misery. He actually looked a little nervous.

She was glad it wasn’t just her nerves because if the butterflies in her stomach had gone crazy just at the sight of Cameron and Reed, they were behaving absolutely berserk now at their nearness. The smells of two different kinds of aftershave along with two uniquely musky scents were downright delicious. They made her mouth water. She wanted to jump up and down and tell them yes, yes, yes, I’ll go anywhere with you, or take me now would also suffice, but duty called. “I can’t,” she finally managed to say instead.

At the sight of Cameron and Reed’s crestfallen expressions, she quickly explained about the job that brought her on the cruise. They were currently docked in Split, Croatia, standing by the gangway, where Jocelyn would be going on an excursion to the Diocletian Palace with the bride and groom. The rehearsal dinner later that evening, followed by the actual wedding tomorrow—pretty much an all-day event—would leave very little time for them to talk these next two days. She felt their anxiety as well as her own at not being able to get reacquainted after such a long separation.

“What a coincidence,” Cameron said. “We’re going on the same excursion. Excuse me a moment.” With that, he winked at her, turned on his heel, and strode off, leaving her with a very confused-looking Reed. Reed schooled his features quickly, but Jocelyn had a sneaking suspicion that Cameron was headed toward the Shore Excursion desk.

“I don’t really have the right to tell you who you can or can’t be with.” She cast her eyes downward. Cameron thought she was trying not to cry.

“You have every right, Jocelyn,” Reed interjected.

“How can you say that?”

The elevator door opened just then, letting on two new passengers. The three of them remained silent the rest of the way down to Jocelyn’s floor. They continued their silence as Cameron and Reed followed Joss as she walked to her cabin. When they reached her door, Cameron asked for her key card and slid it into the slot.

“I didn’t know the two of you were real,” she said when they entered her room. She sat down on the edge of her bed. “I left you three years ago. I certainly don’t expect—”

“Stop it, Joss,” Cameron demanded.

There’s no one else, dollface.”

“What about Taryn?” she asked, looking up at Reed.

Reed quickly explained the circumstances that brought him and Cameron on the cruise. “It’s always been you, Jocelyn.”

“For both of us,” Cameron added.

Jocelyn looked down at her feet.

“I’m not sure she understands yet,” Reed said playfully.

“Hmmm.” Cameron walked over to Joss and sat beside her. She squeaked when he pulled her over his knee. “Maybe we need to show her.”

“What are you doing?” she asked, struggling weakly.

Cameron chuckled. She definitely could have tried harder to free herself from her current position, he thought. “Something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time.” He hiked up her dress, revealing pink cotton boy shorts, and rubbed her ass in a slow sensuous circle.

Reed sat next to him on the bed to enjoy the view, no doubt. Cameron slowly pulled her panties down, leaving them wrapped around the lower part of her thighs, exposing her to their gaze. Reed reached out to stroke the globes of her beautiful round and shapely ass. He then slid his finger slowly up and down her slit.

“I think she’s turned on,” he said, his voice gravelly. “So pretty.”

Cameron tilted his head to the side to get a better view. She’s not the only one turned on.

Jocelyn’s responsive moan was low and breathy, and her body protested when Reed removed his finger. He gave Cameron a slight nod, after which a sharp slap resonated in the room, immediately followed by a surprised squeak. Cameron rubbed the stinging area, generating another moan from Joss.

“You’re ours, Joss”—slap—“and we are all yours. No one else’s, baby.” After another slap, another moan, and another gentle rub, he asked, “Do you understand?” He slapped her ass again when she didn’t respond. “I”—smack—“Asked”—smack—“You”—smack—“A”—smack—“Question”—smack.

“Yes! Yes!” she panted. “Yours.”

“Good girl.”

This time Cameron nodded at Reed, who immediately slipped first one, then two fingers inside Jocelyn’s wet channel. She bowed her head and fisted the sheets in front of her as Reed pumped his fingers in and out of her, while Cameron rubbed her ass in slow, sensual circles. She looked so fucking sexy, Cameron thought, splayed out like she was over his knees, panting, moaning, whimpering. His cock was an iron rod, painfully straining against the zipper of his jeans and protesting that he would not be able to sink into her lush body tonight. Tonight, it would have to be about her pleasure and he and Reed enjoying the act of giving it to her. The image of her glorious ass in the air, marked with his handprints, legs spread apart, beautiful, wet, pink pussy on display, would both torment and excite him until he could finally claim her.

Jocelyn emitted a low throaty sound followed by a loud cry. Her body arched, her knuckles whitened as she fisted the sheets tighter, and then her hips jerked repeatedly at what must have been a very powerful orgasm.

Cameron gently maneuvered her into a sitting position on his lap and wiped away her hair from her damp forehead. She was still shaking in his arms. Reed, who remained in the same spot on the bed next to Cameron, rubbed Jocelyn’s back in circles until her body calmed and her heavy breaths became steady.

“I wish I would have seen your face when you came, Joss,” Cameron said, his own breathing labored. He was sure she could feel his hardness underneath her. “You look so beautiful all flushed and sated like you are.”

She smiled shyly up at him. “I had some help.” She reached back to give Reed a soft caress. “From two very talented men.”

“Talented, huh?” Cameron chuckled. “This was just a tease, baby. I’ll show you talented.”

DARK & DIRTY ANTHOLOGY by Lea Bronson, D.C. Stone, R. Brennan and Kastil Eavenshade @LeaBronsen

Dark and Dirty

Four dangerously dark and delicious stories that will awaken your dirtiest fantasies.

Introduction by USA Today bestselling author Jenika Snow.

NOT ONE NIGHT by D.C. Stone:

One night of pleasure isn’t worth losing a lifetime of friendship. Or a reputation. Or a career. A spot in the social standing. That irritating innocence. Or the always-so-present pride.

But it is worth losing her heart.

REDEEMER by Kastil Eavenshade:

His family has the wealth and power to give him anything … except approval.

Gianni Bencivenni marks his time in lines of cocaine. One lover is the same as the next within the walls of addiction—until his family puts a contract out on his life. On the run with the last man he wants to be in close quarters with, Gianni has to decide whether his yearning for acceptance and love can overpower his need for a drug-filled haze.

Johnny “Butcher” Mascagni marks the black sins he commits. Death is his profession and ghosts of the dead haunt his waking moments. His penance for the dark life he’s led. Through all the men who have shared his bed, love is a promise that eludes him. When a former lover becomes his last assignment, Butcher must decide if he can set his demons free and open his heart again.

SLICK by Lea Bronsen:

Ex-convict Luke has been fortunate enough to land a small job as a kitchen assistant, but he’s lonely and crippled by baggage from the past.

CEO Roman Spencer also has his share of problems. It doesn’t help that a tough and hot-headed kitchen worker begins to plague his mind…and body.

The more Luke runs into Roman, the more his dark fantasy turns into attraction. If he surrenders, his thug pride will effectively go down the drain.

ADDICTIONS by R. Brennan:

Alexis Harrison is a mess. She’s managed to blow out her knee, lose her scholarship, and get hooked on pain killers. Now she’s playing mule to her dealer, who is her only friend, to support her ever increasing habit.

If something doesn’t change soon, her addiction is going to cost Lexi more than just everything.

Excerpt:

Zachary sighed at the calendar entry in his phone, which was reminding him for the third time about Reese’s upcoming birthday. And it wasn’t just any birthday—she was going to be thirty.

There were perks to dating a doctor—the uniform was pretty hot, for example—but when that doctor had no particular fondness for jewelry, flowers or chocolates, buying her presents was nigh-on impossible. And because of her work schedule, a surprise weekend away was out of the question. He’d long since learned to always keep the receipts.

Most people get their partners something to do with their hobbies or interests. However, Reese was even awkward in that regard. Her main hobby was so complex that Zach didn’t have the first idea what to get her to do with it—Reese was an uber-geek. Films, graphic novels, collectibles, all that jazz.

Obviously he could just ask what she wanted, then go out and get it, but then it wouldn’t be a surprise. And it was too easy—he wanted her to know he’d really made the effort.

Snoozing the calendar reminder once more, Zach threw the phone onto the sofa, then walked over and started rooting through their combined film collection for something to watch after dinner, which was almost ready. Reese was on shift at the hospital until silly o’clock, so he had the house to himself and could watch whatever he liked. An action movie it was, then.

Running his fingers along the spines of the DVDs and Blu-rays, he suddenly paused. The Avengers leaped out at him, for some reason. He’d seen snippets of it before, as Reese watched it pretty frequently. The parts he’d seen hadn’t looked too bad, actually. It was essentially an action film, but with superheroes in it.

He pulled the case off the shelf, an idea beginning to form. Maybe if he watched it beginning to end, he’d see what drew Reese into that world so much, why she was so fascinated by the films, the graphic novels and so on. Even if he didn’t get it, though, maybe it would still give him some inspiration for a gift. He had nothing better to do that evening, in any case, so it was certainly worth a try.

After putting the disc in the player, he headed into the kitchen to see how his dinner was coming along. A meal in front of the television was the order of the day, it seemed.

A few minutes later, he settled onto the sofa with his lasagna and garlic bread, a bottle of beer on the table next to him. Time for some Avengers action.

Within half an hour, he’d ascertained that the film wasn’t just for geeks. In fact it was easy to see why it had such a wide appeal—the cast was supremely attractive, whatever gender you were into, the plot was interesting and the dialogue seriously witty. He’d already developed quite the crush on the Black Widow, and Nick Fury’s right-hand woman had a lovely pert backside.

Trying to put himself in Reese’s shoes, Zach looked at the male characters. Okay, when it came to this film, straight women clearly had more eye-candy than they knew what to do with. He vaguely remembered a bunch of crazy stuff going around on the internet about Loki—even the villain of the piece had sex appeal, for heaven’s sake! So much so that it had spilled over into even Zach’s limited social media presence. He barely used Facebook, and he’d never gotten the hang of Twitter. And yet he knew about the rabid fangirls. That was another score for The Avengers, then—truly mass-market appeal. If only there were mass-market gift-buying options.

Sighing, he tried to empty his mind and concentrate on the film. The more he tried to force an idea to present itself, the less likely it would be to happen. He’d just enjoy the entertainment and keep his fingers crossed that his subconscious provided something useful.

Once he’d made the decision, it wasn’t difficult to get sucked back into the narrative. It was engaging, easygoing and fun. Zach surprised himself by thoroughly enjoying the entire thing. Reese would be pleased—not to mention surprised—when the next film came out at the cinema and he offered to go along with her.

He’d keep his new found admiration quiet for now, though. He didn’t want to arouse her suspicions, although she was bound to know he was planning something for her milestone birthday.

The question remained—what the hell could he do or buy to blow her away?

BLURB

How much of your heart would you give if you knew how short life could be?

Juliette Reynolds knows that life is a precious gift that could be snatched away at any moment. A survivor of childhood leukemia she lives her life seeking fun, adventure and love at every turn making no commitments and never settling in one place for too long in her quest to experience life to the fullest. Her latest adventure has bought her to Myrtle Beach where she meets Noah Daniels.  Having lost his wife in a freak boating accident three years ago Noah also knows how quickly life can be sucked away.

But Juliette, with her zest for life and eternal optimism, is determined to wake Noah up and bring him back into the world of the living.  That is, until it seems like living is what she might not get to do.

Excerpt

“I’m going to be completely honest with you, Juliette,” Noah told her as soon as they were back in his pickup truck. “I don’t want to take you back yet. I want to take you home. Home to my house.”

She beamed at him. “I’d like that.”

He frowned. “Do you understand what I am saying? That I want to take you home and I want to take you to bed.”

“I know. I want to go to bed. With you.”

He growled and started the truck up. Before he pulled out from the curb though he looked over at her, wanting to make it clear, needing her to know before … so that she didn’t have any false expectations of what this was and of what to expect.

“I want to take you home, Jules…”

“Juliette,” she interrupted quietly. “I prefer Juliette.”

He nodded before continuing. “I want to take you home and I want to take you to bed and I want to fuck you. I want to fuck you hard. But … and I need you to know this, I need you to understand—I don’t want anything more. I don’t want a relationship, I don’t want you to move in, I don’t want this to be anything more than what it is. I’m not looking for anything more.”

Juliette nodded. “I understand completely.”

He narrowed his eyes. “You do?”

“No commitment,” she said. “I get it. I don’t want that either, although I do like the idea of you fucking me hard.”

Noah growled again, his eyes roaming over her face taking in every exquisite detail. Where the hell had this girl come from? She was perfect. Perfect for him. Sexy, gorgeous, oozing a zest for life that was severely missing from his and a commitment-phobic as well. Well, not so much a commitment phobic but more an avoider … like him. It was like Providence had bought her to him.

Noah drove the short distance to his house his mind fixed on nothing else but Juliette. When they arrived at his house he ran around to open her door watching her face as she took in the small, single story bungalow he called home.

“This is so cute,” she cried, following him up the path. “I love it.”

“Of course you do,” he said, fumbling with his keys and unlocking the door. Immediately Loop, his dog, flew at them, covering Noah with licks and racing around like a loony in her excitement to have him own. Then she turned her attention on Juliette, doing the same for her.

“Is this your guard dog?” Juliette laughed, ruffling the hair on the back of Loop’s head. “She is useless but oh so cute!”

“Loopsy,” Noah growled. “Get down.”

Juliette crouched down and scratched Loop’s belly as she laughed. “She is so cute! Hello, Loopsy, my name’s Juliette. I guess they call you Loopsy because you are a bit crazy?”

Noah scowled. “She’s completely crazy. I tried to train her, but she’s too nuts.”

“Well you know what,” Juliette laughed, speaking to the dog, “I’ve been called crazy before, too. I think it’s just that we’re misunderstood though. Don’t you think, Loops?”

Noah shook his head, feeling strangely jealous that Juliette was lavishing her attention on his crazy cocker spaniel when he wanted all her attention on him. Grabbing her hand, he pulled her to her feet, ignoring the surprised look on her face.

“I should offer you a drink or something,” he said, his eyes roaming over her face, “but really I just want to take that sexy as all hell dress off.”

Juliette’s pupils dilated, and the dog, it seemed, was completely forgotten. “I had enough to eat and drink tonight. At the restaurant.”

Noah drew her towards him, planting his mouth firmly and possessively against hers. He didn’t bother going gently this time, didn’t bother easing her into the kiss. Instead he unleashed everything he had, every feeling he had as he let his mouth slant over hers, as he forced her lips apart and thrust his tongue deep within her mouth, tasting and savoring her.

Dragging her with him he pulled her further into his house, through the living room and down the short corridor to his bedroom. He’d already closed the curtains earlier and left a low bedside lamp on, which now cast the room in a pale yellow light. Pausing, he glanced at the rumpled bedding wishing he’d made the bed that morning. Not that it mattered, he planned on messing it up very soon.

“Take your dress off, Juliette,” he commanded, against her mouth, “please.”

“I like your manners,” she told him as she pulled back, tugging at the tie around her neck. “You’re such a gentleman.”

“You won’t think I’m such a gentleman,” he grumbled, watching as she slid the dress ever so softly off her shoulders and let it fall unheeded to the floor, “when I’m fucking you senseless and making you scream.”

Her mouth fell open, and her eyes, those pools of sea green, went wide. Noah felt another possessive, almost caveman like grumble building in his chest.

Dropping his eyes, he let his gaze run over her body, pausing at that odd scar a moment before dipping further, moving over her breasts, down her smooth, flat stomach, over the curve of her hips and lingering on the pale blue, lacy panties that covered her center.

“Take everything off.”

Her mouth twitched. “Have you forgotten your manners already?”

His pulled his eyes up to meet hers, swallowing over the thickening in his throat. “Please.”

Juliette grinned, reaching around to unclasp her bra, drawing it slowly down her arms before discarding it on the floor with her dress. She was just about to reach for her panties when Noah lunged at her, his mouth clamping down on hers as he pulled her against him, crushing her against him. Juliette made a small sound of surprise, but that was quickly stifled by his mouth on hers. Stumbling, he led her back to the bed where they fell, his mouth barely breaking its assault on hers as his hands ran the length of her body, cupping and caressing her breasts, pinching the peaks until they stood as hard nubs and Juliette cried out in his mouth.

Her hand slid beneath his shirt, tugging it from the waistband. He pulled back at her insistence and pulled it over his head, throwing it somewhere in the room before he lowered his head back down to hers, relishing in the feel of her soft breasts against his hard chest, the differences between them. How smooth and soft she was against his hardness, how cool her skin was to touch whilst his felt almost feverish. It was almost as if the differences between them made them perfect for one another.

Her hands were running over him, over the hard planes and angles of his body, her fingers tracing the sharpened contours. He felt massive, looming over her, and carefully rested his body weight on his arms even as he wanted to get closer.

Lowering his head, he closed his mouth over a breast, sucking her nipple deep as she arched against him. His hand squeezed and pinched her nipple, and Juliette pressed her hands into his hair, urging him closer as the sounds continued to escape her. God, he loved those sounds she made. It was like angels singing or the sweetest concerto he had had ever heard.

He switched, turning his attention to her other breast, as he ran another hand over her flat belly and wrapped her hip, jerking her against him, lifting her butt from the bed. Then he kissed lower, his tongue running over her skin, licking and then dipping into her belly button.

“Noah,” she murmured beneath him, tugging at his head. “Oh God.”

“Hmmn?” he whispered against her skin as his mouth skimmed the top of her panties,  which were so fine and lacy that they left nothing to the imagination. Not that Noah had to imagine what she looked like. The image of her, naked and dripping wet that morning, had been seared into his mind, into his heart. She was bare, shaved or waxed, he didn’t know, but she was bare. When he tugged at her panties she dug her heels into the bed and lifted her hips allowing him to slide them down her thighs and throw them away.

“Noah,” she whimpered beneath him, shivering a little.

Raising his head, he looked at her, drawing her deep into his memory bank and imprinting her there. Head back, lost in the pillows, eyes closed, swollen lips open and panting, breasts heaving, nipples hardened, legs spread for him, pussy arching up to meet him.

Noah growled, a low rumble in his chest as he ran a hand lightly over her center. She was wet already, and he sucked in a breath. God, could this girl be any more perfect?

Sliding one finger along her folds he dipped a finger inside watching as her mouth fell open and she arched off the bed, legs opening to give him further access. Gently, he pressed a thumb to her nub, circling ever so slowly as she began to writhe and grab at him, murmuring his name. His chest constricted at the marvelous sight unfolding before him, and when he dipped his head to taste her little bit of heaven, he thought he’d come undone.

“Noah,” she whimpered louder now. “Noah…”

“Yeah, baby. I want you to come. I want to watch you come for me.”

Her legs were trembling, her thighs clamping around his head as she arched against him, using her hands to press him further closer, searching for her release. He kept his eyes open, watching her, loving the way her orgasm built, loving how she lost herself in him, in his touch, in his mouth.

EXCERPT

“What’s your name, sub?” I asked.
“Li … Lisa.”
I narrowed my gaze and stared down at her. “If you say so, Bella.”
“Bella?” Her head tilted to the side, her eyes slightly widened. “Is that a compliment?”
“You’re Italian, aren’t you?”
“Yes.”
“Then that’s what I’ll call you.” A light flush spread across her high cheekbones and she bit her lower lip. Goddamn cock sprung to full attention. “First thing you ought to know—and should have learned long before entering this club as a sub—your gaze belongs on your Dom’s boots, your knees on the floor.”
The bulge in my leathers snagged her attention as her head lowered and she hesitated. A shudder rippled down through her, but she sank to her knees with practiced ease, a waft of subtle sweetness, what had to be expensive perfume, floating around me. My mouth watered. Long, glossy dark hair cascaded around her downturned face. Her shoulders remained back and straight.
Trying to ignore the press of my goddamn zipper into my cock—and prickle of unease tingling the back of my neck—I glanced across the room at Devon, one of the few Doms who didn’t mind switching.
He lounged in a chair, drink in hand, but otherwise unoccupied. Bella’s appearance had already drawn his attention. He gawked like a starstruck lover at the goddess kneeling at my feet.
The idea of sharing the tasty morsel of a pseudo-sub twisted my gut, but the thought that touching her skin would definitely cause trouble overrode my Neanderthal side.
As though feeling my stare, Devon lifted his gaze to mine.
I quirked a brow in invitation.
He shot out of his seat with a shit-eating grin and strode across the room. He stood a good half-foot shorter than me, but we both had blue eyes, the same light hair, and square jaw… We’d enjoyed our fair share of women fantasizing about brothers.
“Master Devon, care to join us this evening?”

Story Excerpt

“Damn, that hurt,” she grumbled.

“Cece?” He knew something had happened. The least he could do was help, so Tyson walked back…and immediately halted. Nothing could have prepared him for what he saw.

In the midst of what looked like a junkyard, sat Cece slumped over with her legs sprawled out in front of her. Her long, dark hair was pulled up into some crazy concoction on the top of her head, which oddly enough, closely resembled a pineapple. Although her face showed feelings of loss and frustration, her blue eyes still drew him in. Her body was covered in paint, and her clothes were a complete mess.

His heartbeat picked up a few paces as he swallowed hard. He was seeing her in her element for the very first time. To him, Cece looked flawless.

“Oh God. What are you doing back here?” she grumbled, visibly annoyed and embarrassed.

He stepped over the mess and noticed an old wooden ladder on its side, broken in two places. “Lending a hand.” He outstretched his and she reluctantly took it. He pulled her up, accidently covering his hand with paint.

“Thanks. Sorry about the paint. I’ll get you some towels.”

Tyson shrugged it off. He didn’t care about the paint. “I actually stopped by to shop. The helping part was needed.” He gave her a sympathetic smile. She had no reason to be embarrassed. Accidents happened. “Are you okay?”

Cece looked down at her body. “I think so. I won’t know the extent of the damage until I get all the paint off.”

“The color looks good on you.” Tyson was really hoping he could lighten her mood.

“Ugh. This is so humiliating.” Cece took a few steps and hissed. “Okay, damage to the leg for sure.”

“Here, let me help you.” Tyson swooped her up into his arms.

“Tyson! No! Now you have paint all over you,” she scolded.

“I don’t care. They’re just clothes, Cece. Where’s the bathroom?” He couldn’t care less about his clothes. Now, having Cece in his arms? That was another story.

Cece pointed to a small corridor. Tyson walked sideways with her cradled in his arms, so they could both fit down the narrow hall.

Once he reached the tiny bathroom, he set her on her feet. She hobbled a step and sat on the closed toilet. He grabbed some paper towels and handed them to her. He watched her closely as she cleaned the paint off her skin.

She looked up at him and caught him staring. He cleared his throat and glanced up at the ceiling, slightly embarrassed she noticed. He couldn’t help it, though. Now that she had been in his arms, he wanted to know more of how her skin felt and how she tasted, preferably without the paint.

“You don’t have to stay back here with me. Go ahead and shop. I’ll be out in a few minutes.”

“I don’t mind, Cece. I want to check out your leg once you get the paint off.”

She rubbed over an area of her leg and flinched.

Tyson grabbed some more paper towels and wet them. “Here, let me,” he insisted, kneeling in front of her. He cautiously began wiping away the paint.

* * * *

Cece was thoroughly humiliated and thankful the red paint was covering her flushed skin. She was watching how gentle Tyson was being with her. The star pitcher was tall, strong, and confident. And here he was taking care of her, a feeling she never experienced before. She suddenly felt claustrophobic in the small space and took a few calming breaths.

“Ah, there we go. You have one nasty bruise which is already appearing. No bleeding, or at least I don’t think so. Hard to tell with the red paint.”

“Crimson,” she corrected. Thinking about art and colors usually relaxed her—up until she fell off that rickety ancient ladder. She was pissed at herself for daydreaming too long about the piece she was working on.

He grazed over her leg, causing goosebumps to break out over her body which seemed to have a mind of its own.

“Crimson,” he repeated, looking at her with a soft smile. “I think you are going to live.”

“Too bad I can’t say the same for the artwork I fell on.” She stood and winced, pain radiating through her leg. Not a good sign.

“Still hurts?”

She nodded, bracing herself on the bathroom sink.

“I’ll take you home.”

After bickering with him over the fact she could take care of herself, in pain or not, she let out a frustrating groan and realized he wasn’t going to take no for an answer. She was certain Tyson knew she would be okay, but why push it when he was offering to help. He was too kind. He was quite charming as well, even though she didn’t want to admit it.

It was a lethal combination.

Adult Excerpt

Her admission shattered him in the most amazing way. He nodded at first, trying to get the blood to flow through his body properly, rather than straight south. He wanted to carefully choose his next words to reassure her and to prove she was so goddamn special to him.

“If there is anything I ever do that you don’t like, all you have to do is tell me to stop. I will stop immediately with no questions asked. We can always discuss anything before we try it. If you are uncomfortable, we can wait or not do it at all. Understand?”

“Yes,” she stated, looking at him straight on. “But, I am ready and willing.”

“Cece, baby.” He smoothed his dark hand over her cheek. “You deserve to be cherished like the finest treasures.” He watched as her pupils dilated, loving the way her body gave him feedback as to what she enjoyed. She may have been used to one-night stands prior to him, but Tyson was going to treat her to a whole other world—a world she deserved. A world he wanted to give her. “Right here on this dryer…I’m going to feast on that beautiful pussy of yours until you come on my face. Then I am going to bend you over and sink my cock so deep inside you that your screams of erotic pleasure will be echoing off these walls.”

Cece bit her lip. Tyson knew by looking at her it wasn’t because she was nervous. No. She was downright turned on and anxious to get started.

Without breaking eye contact with her, he slid his hands up her legs, under her skirt. He felt the lace of her panties and looped his thumbs onto the sides.

“Lift up, gorgeous.”

She leaned back and lifted her hips. He pulled at her thong and slowly dragged them down her legs. His body following them. He unbuckled her left sandal and pressed soft kisses on her foot. He repeated the same amorous deed with her other foot. He explored her legs with his tongue and lips, ending on the tops of her upper thighs.

“Spread for me.”

She did. He placed her feet up on the dryer. Her skirt scrunched around her waist, completely exposing her beautiful, glistening pussy to him. Tyson licked his lips while Cece closely watched him.

“So beautiful, Cece. I love how you are always wet for me.” He ran a finger along her wet folds.

“Only for you,” she whimpered.

He brought his wet finger up to her mouth. “Taste yourself, baby.” She opened her mouth for him, and he stuck his finger in just a little. Her tongue darted out to lick him. He couldn’t resist sharing her sweet taste. Tyson licked her along with his finger, enjoying the experience with her.

“So good.”

He lifted her shirt over her head and removed her bra. Her nipples already in hard peaks. He twirled his tongue around one, and then the other. A stimulating moan vibrated off her lips. He shifted his mouth  lower and lower. He breathed in her scent, enjoying how much more intoxicating it was now.

“I want you to let it all go, Cece. Give me everything.”

“Yes,” she said breathily.

He dipped his head and licked the entire length of her pussy. He fucking loved the way she tasted. He pushed his tongue inside her, drinking her up. Her lips swelling for him, already eager for a release. He wanted to hold her off just a bit longer. He wanted to watch her completely unravel for him.

“Tyson,” she moaned, her fingers clutching at his shoulders.

He carefully removed her hands from his body and placed them on her breasts, massaging them together before he released his hands.

“Keep them there,” he gently demanded.

Watching Cece play with her tits and having her legs wide open for him was fucking incredible. He gave her clit a suck and heard her sharp intake of breath. Not yet, he thought and went back to fucking her with his tongue. Every once in a while he glanced up at her. Her breaths quickened as she got lost in his touch. The more he licked her, the more eager she was with her tits. Stunning. He pushed three of his fingers deep inside her and moved his tongue around her clit.

“Oh God. Oh God,” she chanted.

He could feel her clamping down on him and lightly bit her clit.

“Holy fuck,” she cried out. Her legs shuddered. She squeezed her nipples tightly. Tyson continued devouring her until every quake and clench had subsided.

He quickly picked her up off the dryer and spun her around. His shorts and boxers were around his ankles in record time. He bent her over and drove into her. She was dripping wet. The sounds of him thrusting in and out of her echoed throughout the small space.

“You feel so fucking magnificent,” he groaned.

He moved harder, faster. She met his demands, pushing back, bringing him in even deeper.

“Fuck me harder, Tyson. So hard,” she panted.

His fingers dug into her hips. He gave the woman what she asked for. As much as she thought he was in control, he wasn’t. His body gave her what hers unknowingly demanded. He wanted to please her as much as she wanted to please him. It was a fascinating thing to watch unfold.

He felt her clenching around his cock.

“Come with me,” he gritted, trying to hang on with her.

Erotic screams released from her throat as she gripped him like a vice, milking him of his orgasm.

“Fuck yeah,” he shouted, filling her.

He draped his body over hers, their breathing erratic. Their bodies covered in sweat. His lips danced over her back.

“I don’t think laundry day will ever be the same,” he declared.

Cece giggled. He grinned at the splendor of the melodic sound.

Kate Willowbrook dreams of a life filled with beauty –– a man who loves her, friends, and a home. At eighteen, Kate’s dreams are replaced by nightmares when she witnesses a crime. Kate runs, never settling down or trusting anyone. Ten years later Kate discovers the small town of Lakes Crossing and Noah Reed.

When Noah’s wife is killed in an accident, he buries himself in work and family obligations, believing he will never find love again until he meets Kate. The more he learns about her, the more he is drawn to her and his protective instincts kick into overdrive.

Noah is everything Kate has ever dreamed of, but his take-charge attitude is scaring up old demons she fought hard to bury. If they can’t find a way to strike a balance that satisfies both their deepest needs, they could lose their second chance at love.

Excerpt

Kate pierced him with her green eyes. “I’m certain there’s no shortage of women who would be happy to go out with you. Why me?”

Noah’s cocky grin faded into a soft smile that stole her breath. His eyes darkened as he focused on her. She could feel the heat creeping up her cheeks again, and she couldn’t believe she asked him that question. She didn’t even know why she did, except that she wanted to hear his answer. If she let herself fall for this beautiful man, with a killer smile and the softest brown eyes in the world, she’d fall hard and fast. If she were just a toy to him, one that he got bored of and discarded after a while, she’d be devastated. She had lost so much already and survived, but Kate wasn’t sure she could survive his games. If she allowed herself to hope and dream of a life with Noah but then lost it all, she’d crumble, and no amount of superglue would put her back together.

Kate waited for his answer, her eyes locked with his and he didn’t let her down.

“Yes, I won’t deny that I’ve dated other women and there are those who wouldn’t turn me down for a date, but they’re not you.”

Noah reached for her hand, and she let him feel the tremble that ran through her as he engulfed her small hand in his. He raised her hand to his mouth and kissed her fingers, never taking his gaze off her.

“You say you’re not special to anyone, but that’s not true. I see something special, someone special. I know we don’t know each other very well, but if you give us a chance to change that, together, we may be something special. We won’t know unless we try.”

Kate’s breath hitched, and her heart squeezed. Jesus, the man had a way with words. How did he know what she needed to hear? Now she understood what Roberta Flack meant when she sang, Killing me Softly. He was clawing at the door to her heart, and she didn’t think she was strong enough to resist him, even knowing that she may get shredded if she let him in.

Kate dropped her gaze again as they began to fill. Her breathing was ragged, and her heart broke its confines and was on the run. Whether it wanted to be caught by Noah or not, Kate wasn’t certain.

Special.

Kate had waited thirty-one years to hear someone call her special. She struggled to rein in her emotions and push back the tears that threatened to roll down her cheeks. She wanted to go out with Noah so badly it hurt. She wanted to get to know him and to be a part of his world, but she was terrified. Good visited her very few times in her life. The instant it arrived, she began preparing for its departure. Good was a temporary visitor and a fickle one at that.

“Come on, Kate. I can sense you’re afraid. I swear I’m a nice guy. I’ll do my damnedest not to disappoint or hurt you. Take a chance. Take a chance on me.”

Kate heard the vulnerability in Noah’s voice. She explored his handsome face, a face she was sure she would never tire of admiring. All traces of his earlier cockiness vanished. Instead, it was replaced by a rawness, an earnestness, a tenderness she’d never seen before. That was the look Kate would remember for a lifetime. Years from now, she would say that was the exact moment she knew, if Noah Reed asked her, she would be his for a lifetime.

Kate let out a slow breath and with a soft smile, she whispered, “Okay, Noah Reed. I’ll take a chance … a chance on you. I’ll go out with you.”

About the Author

Norah lives a double life. By day she is a suit-wearing, prim and proper, professor, administrator, researcher, and lecturer. By night she is a PJ wearing dreamer and writer of books that make people sigh, smile, cry, laugh, fall in love and believe in second chances.

Norah lives in Andover, New Jersey with her husband of thirty years, a cranky geriatric maltipoo, and an obnoxious cockatoo who runs the house and terrifies all its inhabitants.

Norah discovered the joy and escapism that comes from reading at the age of twelve and swears books saved her life and her sanity. Through reading, she has travelled the globe and learned all kinds of equally useful and useless skills such as the proper way to eat a pomegranate, carve a watermelon, or bathe an elephant. These are skills she has passed down to her two daughters who are incredibly supportive, but often wish she had a wider scope of hobbies.

Norah has a long publishing history in academia, but she started writing fiction recently. In July 2016 she published her first work of fiction, R.I.L.Y. Forever with Evernight Publishing and in January 2017 her second book, Everything I’ve Dreamed Of, was also published by Evernight Publishing. May your 2017 be filled with moments that take your breath away. @limitlessbooks @evernightpub

hello-2017

Finally, 2017 has arrived! I am wishing all of you a very happy and prosperous new year, filled with love and joy.

December 2016 marked my second year of writing, and it was a great one full of new things to learn and new colleagues and readers to meet. I became a part of the Evernight Publishing family as well as the Limitless Publishing family and the experience has been wonderful.

The plan for 2017 is to try and whittle down on the massive WIP listing I have going! It seems like there’s a new world and new characters crashing into my head uninvited every day now, so it’s been tough not to get distracted by them. But here is what I’m planning on getting done this year, and then what ever time I have left I guess I’ll just let those deviant characters in my head fight it out for dominance. 😉

-Shared for the First Time Anthology (this one is a paranormal boxset due out in the spring)

-Broken Soul’s Series book 2…. now Oliver has been waiting very patiently for his story to be told, and even his patience has a limit 😉 but when someone pushes him too far–well, lets just say you’ll find out what happens.

-Alien Captors Series book 2: This is the next book after Precious Cargo and it takes us back to Dolak to discover a rather feisty surprise for two unsuspecting males.

-Coalition Mates Series: Okay, so book 5 will be coming out at the end of this month for my CM series, but as for who’s up next, that may come down to which characters are co-operating when I sit down to write them. I would love to get the three that have been harassing me the most written this year, which would be Kalista’s book, Devyn’s book and the feisty new comer from book 5, Kali’s cousin Drogan.

Aside from those, there are a few other on-going projects that will of course be continuing on, such as my Beyond The Veil series with Maia Dylan and Elena Kincaid. We’ve got book 3 coming out in approx. Feb, and then still more to come.

Ahhh so much to write, and so little time!

In the meantime, if you’re looking for a quickie to take away the holiday cleanup humdrum, why not check out my little Romance on The Go with Evernight? Its a saucy New Year’s office ménage that is sure to get you motivated. 😉

Here’s a little taste…

Adult Excerpt:

Grey loved the way Laura’s eyes dilated even further at his whispered words, and when she licked her lips, he couldn’t resist any longer. He closed the distance between their mouths and kissed her finally. When her lips opened on a gasp, he pushed forward and took her mouth like he’d been imagining for all these years.

It was sensual, and deep, filled with all the longing he’d been holding back. She tasted just as good as he knew she would have, like strawberries and the wine she’d had with dinner. He pulled back when Barrett let out a groan, knowing that he had to share the bounty of her soft mouth, and when he did, she moaned and tried to follow his retreat. Grey liked that. His cock was already hard enough to hurt, and the little noises of surrender coming from those sweet lips of hers made him ache even more to slide inside of her.

When Barrett leaned forward and took Laura’s mouth in a desperate kiss, Grey moved his attention to the delectable body that he’d been imagining for what felt like eternity. Laura kept herself covered up, but in those sexy skirts, Grey imagining bending her over on just about every surface in the office. Truth be told, it was significantly cutting into his productivity. He thought about fucking her three quarters of the day, and knew that Barrett did the same. Ironically, without her here to keep things running smoothly, their business would have suffered.

He ran his shaking hands down her sides, his thumbs barely grazing the hard nipples he could see through her dress. The dress he had bought her. He really liked the thought that she was wearing what he had chosen for her. He wondered though, what she’d picked to wear underneath it, and as he found the side zipper and slowly lowered it, his pulse was racing at the thought of all that creamy white skin that was now theirs for the taking. When he reached up and undid the clasp of the halter top around her neck, the dress slowly cascaded down her curvy body, revealing bright, red lace that made both men groan in appreciation.

“You’ve been hiding this sexy body from us for too long, baby,” Barrett said with a growl. “I want to touch it all. Grey, let’s see what’s ours.”

Her insecurities only get worse when Mr. Slade hires a temporary secretary for an upcoming business venture. Did Mr. Slade hire her just for the extra help or is there more to it? Has he grown tired of only having Morgan to “play” with? Can Morgan ever be enough for Mr. Slade?

Adult Excerpt:

Morgan hesitated for a few seconds, just watching her boss. He looked fucking sexy as hell. His chest was a rosy-pink color from exercising. His hair was slightly messy, which was inviting. Mr. Slade then looked up at her, putting his hands on his hips.

“Why are you making me wait longer? Ms. White, are you trying to rile me up?” This time, his eyes softened just bit.

“No, sorry.” His schedule floated through her mind, and she knew that he had a fifteen minute window here. That was one benefit to being his secretary.

Morgan stepped forward, and Mr. Slade just barely turned to give her more room to walk. Again, it seemed he was purposely making this hard for her.Connor. Her breasts brushed past his chest as she reached the shower door. When she turned toward it, her ass then brushed against his thigh. His skin felt as if it was on fire.

She stepped into the shower. The water was warm but not too hot as it ran down her body. A small sigh came off her lips as he stepped in. Fortunately, this shower was a little bigger than one would expect in a private office. He’s had other girls in here. That sordid thought wormed its way through her head.

Mr. Slade brought her attention back on him as he faced her, grabbing her hips. “So, Morgan. Let’s see how I want to play this. Should I punish you first for making me wait and hiding from me—”

“I wasn’t hiding.” As soon as she interrupted him, she regretted it.

Mr. Slade’s eyes flashed with something close to irritated amusement. “Thank you for making my decision easy.”

Before Morgan could try to dig herself out of the hole she had created, Mr. Slade spun her around. She gasped in surprise as he quickly pressed her back down. Her face was almost touching the shower wall as he pulled her hips back closer to him.

He turned to the side so the water was spraying straight onto her ass. His hands were soon rubbing over her body. Morgan lifted her hands to the shower wall to steady herself as her eyes fluttered shut. She didn’t entirely know why she craved his punishments but she did. Was it just to please him or was it for herself?

Sometimes the world seemed plastic. These moments were anything but.

Mr. Slade rubbed his hands down her back, over her ass, and lightly grazed her pussy lips. Morgan held her breath until he changed tactics. He smacked her wet ass harshly, and a moan flew from her. He smacked her again, and the sound of wet skin on skin echoed around her.

He growled as he smacked her ass again. This time was much harder, and Morgan’s eyes flew open as she said his name.

“Not good enough. I want to hear my name much louder than that.”

Morgan turned her head toward him and was trapped by his stare. He was looking at her like she was his prized possession. In that moment, she felt like it. He looked away from her, grabbing something. Morgan didn’t know what until her ass felt it.

Mr. Slade grunted as a hard wooden stick spanked her wet skin. Morgan yelped loudly and twisted her body, trying to get a look at the object. Mr. Slade raised it up, and she saw that it was a back scrubber. He was holding onto the brush part. She was very thankful that the shower wall didn’t give him too much swinging room. She closed her eyes as the handle came down on her ass.

“Mr. Slade!”

“There you go.” He rubbed his hand over her stinging ass cheeks. “That wasn’t so hard, was it?”

The Power of Peppermint by L.D. Blakeley

Thank you for having me on today to tell you about The Power of Peppermint! This happy little holiday novella is a true labour of love for me. It’s my first self-published title as well as my first Christmas release. So I hope you enjoy!

The Power of Peppermint by L.D. Blakeley

The most wonderful time of the year?

When Jamison Pritchett is roped into replacing the mall photographer at Santa’s Village a week before Christmas, he’s certain he’ll be spending the holidays recovering from a nervous breakdown. A throng of sugar-frenzied kids might be enough to send this uptight photographer back into the darkroom permanently. Inappropriate thoughts about his far-too-attractive—and far-too-young—assistant aren’t helping fight that urge to hide, either.

For Noah Hawkins, adulting is a snap. Too bad relationships aren’t. With his business temporarily closed for repairs, he’s happy to help his sister out of a jam, even if the costume he’s given to wear borders on obscene. Constantly being mistaken for a teenager is no treat either, especially when he discovers his temporary new co-worker is sexy as hell and 15 years his senior.

Can Noah convince Jamison that age is just a number? Or will Jamison resist the gift Santa seems to be handing him on a platter?

The wiggle he gave as his cell phone rang, elicited a flurry of giggles from the children who were patiently awaiting their turn. He’d tucked it into the waistband of his tunic because, well, honestly there was nowhere else to stash it.

“Speak of the devil,” he answered, seeing his sister’s face on the phone’s display. “Woah, woah, cool your jets.” Noah held the phone an inch or so from his ear. His sister’s voice was anything but dulcet, especially when she was blasting him with an earful of — wait, what did she say?

“Where are you?” Abi demanded.

“At the mall in all my elfin glory.”

“Well, how come Jamison just told me you bailed?”

Her voice had zero chill and Noah knew better than to mess with her too much. “What are you talking about? I’m looking at him right now. Have been for hours.” As though to punctuate Noah’s sentence, Jamison looked up at that exact moment. Noah couldn’t help himself and flashed what he hoped was a dazzling smile.

Dropping his voice just in case it carried, he continued. “P.S., how come you never mentioned how hot he was? I mean, he’s wound tighter than a two-dollar watch, but he’s damn pretty. You did say he’s gay, right?”

“He is. And leave him alone.”

“Hang on a second, you’re talking to me like I’m a delinquent teenager instead of someone helping you out of a jam. Remind me again how you roped me into this gig?”

“You’re good with kids, know your way around a camera, and could use the distraction. And you love me.

Noah laughed at her bullet-pointed accuracy. “I don’t love you that much. Try again.”

“Because I’m letting you live under my roof, smartass. And as long as you’re under my roof—”

“I know, I know,” he cut her off with a chuckle. “But I might have to amuse myself by flirting with the J in A & J Photography.” He could almost hear the impending warning, so he didn’t give her a chance. “Sorry, gotta go. Santa’s almost done for the day and requires my assistance. Bye-bye.”

She hated it when he did that. Which made it all that more fun when he did. Just to be on the safe side, however, he turned the ringer off before tucking his phone back into his patent leather belt.

There were only a few kids left in line when Mac gave him the wrap-it-up signal, so he latched the velvet rope behind the last of them to keep out stragglers. As much fun as the munchkins were, Noah was looking forward to getting home, getting showered and putting on real pants.

When the last print of the day had been handed over to a beaming young couple and their chirpy toddler, he locked up the till and started packing things away for the night. Within the first few days on the job, he’d gotten the routine down to a science and was finished in no time.

Jamison was still crouched by a tripod busily loading lenses into his camera bags so he wandered over to help. He didn’t seem the type to let anyone touch his gear but Noah figured he’d at least ask. It was as good an excuse as any to talk to the guy.

“Need a hand?”

“I’m just about finished. Thanks.” Jamison zipped up the bag and stood to his full height.

With absolutely no shame, Noah gave him a head-to-toe once-over. Damn.

“I’m Noah by the way.” He grinned, knowing full well by the slight blush on Jamison’s face that he’d been caught. He hadn’t been going for subtle. “Abi’s brother.”

“Oh. Oh.” Jamison’s eyes widened, no doubt in recognition of the name. “Jamison. Hi.” He cleared his throat and held his out his hand.

“Nice working with you today.” He held onto Jamison’s hand a beat or two longer than necessary and gave him a puckish smile. “I’ll see you tomorrow,” he added with a wink.

For good measure, he added a bit of sway to his hips as he walked away. He’d be willing to bet good money Jamison was watching his ass.
